What is adolescence
The word adolescence comes from the Latin word which means to grow. So the essence of the word adolescence is growth and it is in this sense that adolescence represents a period of intensive growth and change in nearly all aspects of a child’s physical, mental, social, and emotional life. Therefore this period must be carefully studied by all the concerned people, i.e. the parents and the educators, especially.

It is relative question, when a child becomes adolescent relative to climatical, and physical conditions. But generally the children from the age of thirteen to nineteen are called adolescence. Or the period between childhood and adulthood is called adolescence.
