What is Paradigm

Paradigm is derived from Greed paradigma which means model, pattern. It is used to mean a broad model, a frame work, a way of thinking, or a scheme of understanding reality.

Definition of Paradigm Shift According to Joel Barker      

A paradigm simply establishes the rules (written or unwritten), defines the boundaries and tells one how to behave within the boundaries to be successful.

The impact of globalization, info Tech, diversity and ethics has led to a paradigm shift.  Therefore, there are new rules, boundaries and behaviors for today and tomorrow’s management to get success

Paradigm Effect

A situation arises in which those in the existing paradigm may not see the changes that are occurring. This is referred to as Paradigm Effect.

The change is usually resisted due to paradigm effect.
