1. Joint Family System
Joint family system of the reason and hinder the way of social mobility and follow the old rules and regulation of the family system. The bonds of that family becomes strengthened and rigid for the members to get out and adopt another place for residence for residence, another profession or get change in social life. So, joint family system confined the activities of family members within the boundary wall of the same family.
2. Illiteracy
Illiteracy and ignorance also blocks the way of social mobility. The uneducated people are not aware the outside world and day to day happenings and remains in dark. Their attitude may becomes confined and they do not want change in their social statuses.
3. Poor Economic Condition
When the economic condition of a country is poor, it leads to technological backwardness. When there is technological backwardness, it may leads to lack of employment opportunities which hinder the way of social mobility. Poor economic condition of a family or an individual also leads to black the way of social mobility.
4. No Desire for Change
If the people are not willing to adopt new and modern ways of life and leave the old ones, it will hinder the way of social mobility. Almost the old people are rigid and they have no desire to get change and remains static which hinder the way of social mobility.
